An early purchase, this came when Mina was first exploring the possibility of having G-spot orgasms on her own. We have never used this toy together, and it desperately needs to be revisited.

This was a free gift along with the Rabbit and the Cock below. The Rabbit

I will leave the details of this review to Mina, but the Rabbit very quickly became one of her best friends. The Cock

This is the first toy Mina bought after I knew her. Although we weren’t dating yet, I talked her in to this one as a Christmas present to herself. On the whole, this is definitely a good choice, but more of a treat than a regular item.

The G-spot Vibe

The first toy Mina and I bought together. *smile* Oh, the memories.

Unfortunately, this toy, also a Doc Johnson product, would prove a major disappointment. The motor in the base is wickedly powerful, and leaves me white-knuckled after extended use. But the jelly material that makes up the rest of the vibe seems to deaden all of the furious work of the motor. The studded pad for the clit is a nice stimulator, but virtually nothing seems to go inside Mina. I found that my best choice was hold the toy and have my finger go inside Mina with it, my bones carrying the vibrations up, while I scrubbed the studs across her clit. But using it this way is just this side of using no toy at all.

Mina later discovered, while I was away on a holiday trip, a way to make this toy work better for her, so she has been much happier with it than I have since then.

The “My First Butt Plug”

We bought this along with the g-spot vibe. It has a nice, slim profile, and a softer consistency, which makes it a much less intimidating plug than some of the monsters to be found out there. While it’s a good starter, the widest point is so close to the base that it makes it very hard to keep it in without holding it with your hand. It’s certainly a good starter, but for someone whose anus is used to being an “in” hole, this will not impress. This is also one of the few toys whose use has been depicted in our gallery.

The Hummingbird

Probably Formerly our favorite toy (see the Lelo Lily). I bought this for her to wear during her long commutes, and that has never really seem to come into play. The straps are adjustable, so this can be “worn.” The vibrator actually has ten speeds and five “modes.” The modes are different patterns of vibration - staccato, wind up/wind down, wind up/cut off, continuous. I have found that the modes besides continuous are on the the frustration side because none of their patterns last more than five seconds. In the end, we generally just wind up going to continuous and nudging the speed up and down as the mood suits.

The belly of the hummingbird is studded, and it is great for rubbing against a clitoris while the motor does its work. It’s not as powerful as the g-spot vibe motor above, nor does it need to be. Another interesting feature of the hummingbird shape is the “beak” with lashes back and forth furiously. It is a brutal, sometimes overwhelming stimulator, that is easy to point away from anything too sensitive. The small size is incredibly handy, and we have often wedged it between our bodies to vibrate us both as we grind away.

Apart from being underwhelmed by the different “modes,” my only complaint is the lack of an on/off switch. You get it going or shut it off by changing the speed from 0. As a result, it is pretty easy to accidentally turn on, and hard to turn off quickly when you want to enjoy your afterglow. But these are minor complaints. This toy is definitely a winner.

The Vibrating Butt Plug

We bought this toy for one reason and one reason only - to go in and stay in. It definitely does that, although, like the cock, it is difficult to get quite all of it in. That said, Mina does manage to hold it in quite nicely. This is definitely on the medium-to-small size of the butt plug spectrum, but it has been a good trainer for her. She has made me very proud when she has taken this plug inside.

The vibrate function is controlled by a push-button in the end. It’s a little on the stiff side, but once on, the vibrations are exactly what you’d expect, not too much, not too little. This is a good toy, but because of our tastes, we don’t use it much. But I can say that I think it was a good buy.

njoy Pure Wand

We are still getting to know this one. It was my Christmas gift to Mina this year, and our first purchase from our new favorite shop, Freddy and Eddy. One thing that the njoy has going for it is sheer beauty. The mirror-finish surgical steel is beautiful to look at and hold, and the silk-lined box it comes in helps the whole package simply breathe quality. We’ve only put it to use once so far, and we are still getting to know this one. It clearly oriented towards applying pressure to the G-spot, and is singularly suited to this purpose. It will be a little more time before we are ready to write a full review. A modern re-interpretation of the Ben Wa balls, these plastic-and-silicone wonders have small, plastic weights that are loose under the sealed surface, and this makes a distinct rattle when shaken, not that we recommend it for the little ones. Mina is planning to wear these to work one day soon, and we are looking forward to sharing that story.

Vibratex Rabbit Rosebud

As we got to the Love LA show, Mina was magnetically drawn to the Vibratex table, wanting to see the cousins of her best friend.
