I’ve certainly spent a lot of time talking about my own thoughts on polyamory and sharing the many videos on Kink Academy about it, but I haven’t really talked about the legal aspects of it. Aimee Bouchard talks briefly (3 min) about it in her video “Legal Considerations for Polyamory“. In this video, “she discusses laws against adultery, the rights (or lack thereof) of multiple partners, and examples of potential discrimination (e.g., child custody and employment).”

Definitely interesting.
From the potentially career-damaging perspective, members of the US Armed Forces should be aware that there are 2 articles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice that may be applied in cases of non-monogamy. Article 134 covers adultery (there is no provision for spouses consent!) and Article 133 covers conduct unbecoming an officer, which can be broadly applied to a number of circumstances. Also, Article 125 prohibits sodomy.
No wonder some people maintain a degree of anonymity…
I have seen it brought up in a custody case.
It ended up not causing a problem with the custody issues, but it did cause some personal problems with people.
